Love your post. My grandfather turned an Oklahoma dust bowl farm into an oasis by planting Papershell Pecans. I also think it is a good idea to do our part for the soil, organic stewardship and vermiculture to eat up all our food wastes.

Ok, WOW again! So thorough... We have many many native plants, and many exotic ones too. Wild fennel and wild mint and many other edibles are around... I'll have to get that plant identifying app to help out. I've got a lot of figuring to do now... It's pretty much DIY here, and I'm ALWAYS learning or clearing away spots!! What a gift - I really appreciate this and all the links included. Of course, I'm totally jealous of Gwyneth Paltrow. Her budget is definitely higher than mine!!
